Jinks Creek Winery is a real 'getaway from it all' kind of place. This little known pocket of Victoria retains that 'undiscovered' feeling. Guests can imagine they have travelled to their own private, remote hideaway when in fact it's barely an hour from the city and a 20 minute drive through the forest to Gembrook and Puffing Billy Country.

Overlooking the vineyard and the State forest, this charming cottage embodies the simple pleasures of a casual country retreat with a dash of artistic flair.

Property Description:
The weatherboard cottage is pretty as a picture in pale yellow and white, with an imposing bluestone chimney. Some years ago it was relocated from Bunyip where it served as the School Principal's residence. Now it nestles amongst the eucalypts, above the Jinks Creek vineyard, in Tonimbuk. A complete renovation has incorporated a spa in the bathroom and a kitchen that would satisfy any good cook. The rooms are cosy and there's a personal, liveable character to the assortment of furniture that graces the interior. White walls and even some old furniture painted white add a creative "shabby chic" look. Polished timbers in the floor and kitchen dining bench are a rich counterpoint to the white. Life and colour are also brought into the mix with an eye-catching collection of art adorning the walls.

There are three double bedrooms and a bathroom on one side of the house. On the other side, the open plan living room and kitchen enjoy beautiful views over the vineyard. French doors open onto the traditional country verandah, with its collection of wicker furniture, where guests can sit and gaze across the rows of vines to the surrounding forested hills of Bunyip State Park.

Special Features:
Jinks Creek Winery (rated 5 stars by James Halliday for the superior quality of its wines) has less than ten acres under vine, maintained with strictly minimal irrigation and fertilser in order to produce wines that reflect the 'Terroir' of the vineyard.
Sunday lunch is available at the cellar door/ gallery, where you can enjoy Jinks Creek wines with anti pasto, wood fired pizza and delicious desserts, while surrounded by beautiful artwork.
Jinks Creek Winery is the perfect comfortable base from which to explore Bunyip State Park. The park covers 16,600 hectares with multiple picnic areas, forest walking tracks and tracks for 4WDs, horse riders and mountain bikes. There is a paddock on the property to accommodate guests' horses by arrangement.
