Victoria's Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula is little more than an hour's drive from Melbourne. Queenscliff attracts hundreds of visitors each week to its fabulous village for the atmosphere and historic character. In the late 1800's it became a fashionable seaside resort and the elegant small hotels of the era, now restored, are Queenscliff hallmarks. Home to the famous Queenscliff Music Festival staged each November, the town is also well frequented due to the car and passenger Ferry service that crosses Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento and Portsea on the Mornington Peninsula.
Spray Farm and Scotchmans Hill are two of the most well known Bellarine wineries. In their vicinity the rolling countryside and inland lakes of the Peninsula offer opportunities to hideaway in a B&B cottage away from the busy beachside areas yet still be no more than 10 minutes drive from the waterfront.
