Property Description:
Through the town centre and past Innocent Bystander/ Giant Steps winery and restaurant complex heading east, you veer off the highway and in no time you pull up at your destination the end of a quiet lane. The picturesque hideaway for two can be found nestled in a romantic garden at the rear of the property, some 45 metres from the main residence. The driveway ends in a turning circle right outside the accommodation, where guests can leave their car.
Once used as an artist's studio, the free standing building has been transformed with a contemporary fit out and extensive decking. It presents a homely blend of old and new, the charm of weatherboard combined with large windows and double doors, from both the living room and the separate bedroom, opening onto the deck. Polished timber floors and a restrained colour scheme harmonise with the greenery of the inviting garden surrounds. The valley and mountains form part of the distant vista.

Special Features:
At the other end of the property, a complementary therapies practice shares the main residence. Christine, a qualified medical scientist and 20 year veteran, offers kinesiology and other body therapies. Relaxation massages can also be arranged with an excellent masseuse.

Description of Rooms/Units:
The bedroom contains a queen size bed made up with quality linen. Bedside tables are adorned with touch lamps. The ceiling follows a pitched roof and there is a high window located above the bed. Double doors, complete with double fly screen doors, open onto the deck.
The bathroom has a full size bath and a separate shower. Luxury towels, soaps and a hairdryer are provided.
The open plan living / dining / kitchen space is furnished with table and chairs for meals, a sofa and comfy lounge chairs, rugs, flat screen television, DVD, radio, reverse cycle heating and cooling. This room also has double doors onto the deck.
The corner kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave and tea & coffee making facilities.
An outdoor dining setting and barbecue can be found on the deck. |
